Behind-the-Scenes at Convention: Lions and Leos Coordinate a Flash Mob

July 15, 2011

At our International Convention last week, many Lions had fun at the opening Plenary Session while participating in a flash mob, which is a coordinated public dance. Led by Leos and members of the board of directors who practiced the routine earlier in the week, Lions filled Key Arena with dancing and laughter following the flag ceremony. Everyone, including Immediate Past International President Sid Scruggs, had a great time following along with dancers and Leos.
Check out this behind-the-scenes video of the first Lions Clubs International flash mob.

I was quite impressed that so many young Leos – and the Scruggs grandchildren! – all learned this choreography in advance and really got everyone involved in the dance. Kudos to all.
