Photo of the Week: Lions Club of Grand Cayman “Protecting Our Environment”

April 11, 2011

This month, many of our clubs are focusing on service projects to protect our environment. We received this week’s photo from Deborah Ebanks of the Lions Club of Grand Cayman.

Lions Club of Grand Cayman tree planting project

In this photo, the Cayman Islands’ Minister of Environment helps students with a Lions tree planting project. This activity was part of an annual Lions’ project to bring tree planting into schools on Grand Cayman.

If your club is planning a tree planting or environmental project this month, please leave a comment below to let us know about it.

Protecting the environment globally, helping the people socially with their needs – good water, housing. etc. Honestly, it is great to be a Lion. The coordination aspect of the humanitarian works by president Sid is also commendable. Looking forward to seeing the president face to face in Seattle, Washington on July 4th.
