June 17, 2010

Around the world, our members tackle Lions Green Team projects that protect the planet by cleaning the environment, planting trees and recycling. Past District Governor Victor Hugo Sanchez Rivas sent in this week’s story about a record-setting tree planting project in Peru.

On June 5, 2010, Lions Clubs members in Peru joined forces with several thousand students and other community members to accomplish a massive feat – planting 27,166 trees in only five minutes!
