Lions Story of the Week: Growing Membership Around the World

June 4, 2010

As the Lions’ year draws to a close, now’s the time to reflect on all we’ve accomplished. This year has been all about growth, a habit we plan to keep. In 2009, the Board of Directors approved an initiative to host  workshops in different areas to gather ideas about how we can attract more women and families to our clubs. The Europe forum took place in Prague, Czech Republic, this May, where women from throughout Europe shared their ideas and visions.

Kjerstin Owren Myre from the Bergen Student Campus Lions Club in Norway is an LCIF district coordinator. In her presentation, she shared what makes her club successful, as well as her hopes for Campus Lions Clubs in 50 years.

Watch Kjerstin’s presentation.

Good initiative. Need to interact with different groups such as kitty clubs who are so active in India could fetch us more members.
