Story of the Week

February 5, 2010

During the last two weeks of January, we received Lions In Sight success stories from around the world. One of the biggest events we heard about took place in Minnesota, USA. The Lions of District 5M9 and the Parkers Prairie Lions Club hosted a Lions In Sight event to promote peace. And to raise awareness about Lions – and the services they offer in the community.

The main attraction was the Lions International Peace Poster Contest Exhibit.

The event also featured 40 art, culture and vendor exhibits, as well as live music and refreshments. Lions also shared information about being a member, and provided free diabetes screenings.

The event was a great success, with half of the clubs in district 5M9 attending the event, as well as clubs and communities from two other districts.

If your Lions club held a successful Lions In Sight event, share your story.
