Photo of the Week

February 4, 2010

We receive lots of great photos from Lions around the world. This week, our favorite is from the Roscommon Higgins Lake Lions Club in Roscommon, Michigan USA.

Roscommon Higgins Lake Lions Club "Ski for Sight"

During their recent “Ski for Sight” event, Lions helped more than 100 blind participants of all ages experience the joy of cross-country skiing.

Great Job Roscommon Higgins Lake, this annual Project is one of the shining stars in Northern Michigan. Helen Keller challenged us to be “Knights of the Blind in the Crusade against darkness”. We have responded.

Congratulations Lions! This is a project that is done annually for the many years. The true spirit of Lionism goes on with this project of getting the blind out of doors for a great adventure.
